Ink Fingerprinting Services
Ink & Roll Fingerprinting
Ink fingerprinting is the traditional method of collecting fingerprints using the "ink and roll" method. A person’s fingertips are rolled in ink to cover the entire fingerprint area. Each finger is rolled onto card from one side of the fingernail to the other. These are called rolled impressions. Lastly, all fingers of each hand are placed down on the bottom of the card at a 45-degree angle to produce a set of impressions.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) developed and approves the card, which is used by many agencies, including law enforcement, schools, and employers.
